Excerpts from "It's just a compliment luv? and "Give us a smile" are discussed. " It's just a compliment luv", provides an examination of sexual harrassment in the workplace. It looks at the experiences of women in the postal industry of NSW through dramatisations and interviews with victims of sexual harassment, union representative, representative of migrant workers and the Counsellor for Equal Opportunity in NSW. "Give us a smile", combines animation and live action to demonstrate the connection between the "everyday" verbal and physical abuse of women on the street and the bullying and intimidation experienced by a woman who reports a rape to the police. Also seeks to show the role played by advertising and pornography in the process, and records the efforts of women to fight back against such violence.
