Dr. Treahna Hamm was born in 1965 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She is a Yorta Yorta woman, living and working in Yarrawonga, Victoria. Dr Hamm is a possum skin cloak maker, etcher, printmaker, painter and sculptor. Her work discusses issues of identity, assimiliation and connection to land and community. In 1996 she was awarded first prize in the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Heritage Art Award. She has contributed to numerous exhibitions around Australia and her work is found in collections world wide.
