Summary: ADMINISTRATIVE HISTORY Rouge was Australia’s national feminist newspaper, first published in 1979. Rouge collectives were established in Adelaide, Alice Springs, Darwin, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Collectives were responsible for publishing the newspaper on a rotation basis every two months. The papers held at the Jessie Street National Women’s Library Archives come from the Canberra collective, whose meetings were held at the Women’s Centre, Bremmer Street Canberra.
