Where in the world are women really marginalised? In the West we're told they're held down by a glass ceiling. Latin countries - all that macho stuff. The Middle East? Or Africa, the Big Man culture? You probably don't think of Asia - all those women Presidents and Prime Ministers. But think again, because there is also a silk ceiling.
Silk ceiling is a 2 part series looking at gender related issues in Asia. Inspired by the findings of the UNDP Asia-Pacific Human Development Report, "Power, Voice and Rights: A Turning Point for Gender Equality in Asia and the Pacific."
English and Hindi with subtitles in English.
