Nearly 200 people gathered at the Sydney Town Hall for the launch of "Jessie Street: a revised autobiography". Elizabeth Evatt, who is patron of the library, launched the book. She gave a very interesting talk about the links between the Evatt Family and Jessie. Then Lenore Coltheart spoke about the need to re-publish Jessie's autobiography, "Truth or repose". The final speaker was Maxine McKew, who spoke on the theme "where are the women in politics today?".
