Originally produced as a videocassette. On 4th October, 1997, a morning tea promoting the Jessie Street National Women's Library was held in Old Parliament House in Brisbane.
During this function, Dr Janet Irwin presented Quentin Bryce, Chair of JSNWL, with a cheque for $6662.11 from "The Women's Place Group". Colleen Foster spoke about the organisation.
This DVD explains how the idea of establishing a "Women's Place" in Brisbane originated, and gives the history of the group's attempt to obtain a building in Brisbane to be a space for women.
Through lack of financial backing, the group disbanded in 1997.
