"One chilly weekend in June, 1985, a group of women playwrights in search of their plays straggled into a freezing rehearsal room at Sydney's Wharf Theatre. With the aid of a $10,000 grant, a series of 12 weekends had been set aside to work on the women playwrights' ideas and scripts with experienced directors, actors, dramaturgs and playwrights." So began what was to be a somewhat revolutionary approach to script development and advocacy. This video shows selected excerpts from the 21st festival.
